I came to the same conclusions after some experience with TS and reading documentation. So single any in a call-stack means that you already can’t trust other type annotations completely.

Compiler likes it:

const x: any = {};
const y: any = {};
const r: number = x + y;
console.log(r);

any is the worst part of TS. All serious projects should ban usage if it right from the start.
