I have a big problem with religion…that is a different conversation…and just part of why pense should not be considered the fall back guy

Right there with you!

Separation of church and state was inherently meant to preserve the state/federal government from religious influence/religious partisanship.

Not the other way around, which is what the right-wing Christian extremists would have everyone believe.

I fear the consequences and repercussions of extremism regardless of its source, religious or otherwise.

And right now, more than ever, Christianity is allowing itself to be subverted and suborned by those who seek to use it as a tool and a platform to misdirect, misinform and condition the masses.

Our religious countrymen are forfeiting their moral ‘obligation’ to question, reevaluate themselves and/or their belief systems, and others, in favor of the latest pulpit-pounding pontificating.

THAT IS a rational reason to be concerned.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing. Now more than ever, we need to connect and support one another in such times as these. I fear the days ahead do not bode well for our civilization…
