10 TRUTHS ABOUT MONEY AND LIFE IM GLAD I LEARNED BEFORE IM 30.

1. LIFE DOES NOT OWE YOU ANYTHING.

Funny, how I thought before that life will just give me whatever I want if I play victim and blame other people people for my misery when things are’nt going well in my life. Sad, but I have to endure a painful experience such as a bad break up to learn about this truth. The first time I learned about the law of attraction in the movie, the secret was the day that I lost my job and a boyfriend all at the same time. That experience literally forced me to pay attention to how life truly works, and discovered that I created everything and where I was at that time was the product of what I have been putting in, such as..the habitual thoughts I thought and emotions I often experience, created the reality in my physical world. Life just did not happen. I created everything. Life does not owe me anything. Taking responsibility of my own thoughts and attitude towards life were my only options to regain control over it.

2.YOU CANNOT EXPECT TO HAVE MONEY IF YOU HATE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Most people, me included desires for financial independence and financial freedom. I have always thought desiring it is enough, little did I know how my beliefs about money is greatly affecting the desire that I have, it actually repels the good coming into my life. Learning about this truth allowed me to get to know more about myself and discovered that I have so much limiting beliefs about money that I was not even conscious about, but was already running my financial life.

One of my money beliefs before is that, money is the root of all evil. It divides families apart, creates selfishness and jealousy among people. Thanks to the tele novela dramas i have been feeding my mind before that I have created those limiting beliefs in my own mind. Are you guilty of this too? I mean, watching too much drama that your life becomes one? When I became more conscious about what I feed my mind and the beliefs that runs it, thats when I have slowly one by one addressed each and saw dramatic changes in my financial life. Clarity is indeed power.

3. CONTINOUSLY DEVELOPING YOUR MIND IS VITAL TO YOUR SUCCESS

Before, I thought that learning ends after graduation in college, however thats not the end but it was just the beginning. When life threw lessons that i never learned in the four walls of the classroom, I then realized that it is very important to develop my mind, to control it and create the reality I want for myself. In the first place, school never taught me how to create money or how to manage it effectively, however I cannot discount the fact that school also built my character. It taught me how to deal with different people and the basics of life, but it does not end there. Life is a big school for all of us as well, and studying ourselves and the field where we want to be experts at, are both vital to be able to fulfill the mission we are tasked to do here on earth. We are not just here to survive but were here to create an impact and legacy in the world. What I have discovered too, is that people who are the most successful are those people who never stops reading, attending workshops, seminars, upgrading themselves, demanding more of themselves and continuously developing themselves. When I did this, I noticed that I deal with challenges of life and difficult situations with more understanding that everything happens always to my highest good, and I noticed that when I resist less to what is happening, the flow of what is good comes in more smoothly.

4. WORKING FOR MONEY SPELLS DISASTER.

Maybe this is not the first time you heard about this, we don’t work for money but we work to give value to others and then money follows. However, do we truly understand what that meant? I thought I did, but when I started becoming more conscious of what Im doing, I started noticing that I was more pre occupied with my success, my financial freedom, my family, my needs. It was just all about “me”. If you are in sales, and you’re reading this, maybe you are guilty about this too, when you meet a prospect and he/ she commits to buy or avail your services, do you also find yourself, computing your commission, even before the sale was closed? Its okay to be excited, but being attached to what you can get rather than what you can give, often spells disaster. So when I noticed my tendency to do this, I then go back to what truly matters, I have given value to another person and to his/ her family, through my services and I highly value the trust given to me, and as I started being more conscious I then stopped getting too attached to what I can gain, rather, what can the other person gain because of me. I still get tempted to compute my commission at times but I get better in controlling myself because of the clarity of my purpose. Through this, I see abundance flowing freely into my life. Life after all is not just about “me” but rather its about “WE”.

5. YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU WANT BUT YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU BELIEVE YOU DESERVE.

When I started becoming “curious” about how life really works, God revealed amazing lessons to me through my experiences and through the experiences of others as well. Indeed, when the student is ready, the teacher appears. I examined the prayers I made, that were answered and how did I pray at that time. I then came to a realization that in those moments where I believed my prayer will be answered and prayed with a huge amount of certainty that it will be granted, thats when it was answered. When we want something but we don’t believe we deserve it then we are contradicting what we are asking for. “ Ask and you shall receive”, says the Lord. To be more specific, “ Ask with certainty, and you shall receive.

Each time, we make a decision, we are faced with two options, either we decide based on “fear” or we decide based on “ faith”. The results of our lives will tell us what we choose often. This is from a line of a movie, where the teen aged kid said this to her dad who seem to giving up hope in finding a job, she told him: There are two wolves, they are always fighting, one is: light and hope, the other is darkness and despair. Who wins the fight? The answer is, whichever one you feed. The choice lies in our hands.

6. EVERY THOUGHT, EVERY FEELING, EVERY WORD SPOKEN,EVERY ACTION WHEN DONE HABITUALLY CREATES A REALITY.

I remember how short tempered I was beforeI learned about this truth. Whenever I get mad, I fall into destructive emotions, exhaust my mind with worry when Im into trouble, and say things that I regretted after without caution whenever things don’t go my way. Little did I know that I was already creating my future and with those habits, it looked like a pretty dim future. Then one day, I woke up losing my job and the love of my life and started blaming everything outside me except what caused it the first place — - my HABITS. Maybe you can relate to these circumstances where everything seem to be going wrong. Just like what I did, try observing your habitual thoughts you think, the emotions you dwell frequently, the words you often speak, and the actions you do. Keep a journal. Dont judge yourself. Just observe. Thats how I started regaining control over my life, when I started getting to know myself better, that is when I learned what caused my problem in the first place.

7. THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO LOOK AT THINGS IN LIFE, IS IT : IMPOSSIBLE OR IM’POSSIBLE?

The actions we do every single moment greatly depends on what we believe to be true and what we believe to be possible, so each time we say IMPOSSIBLE! Automatically, thats what happens! If you believe your dreams to be impossible to reach, will you likely take action? I guess not.. However, I came up with a better version of such word, and the day I replaced the word Impossible to IM’POSSIBLE, I then noticed how my actions conformed to such a belief.even strenghtened that belief with getting to know God better and nourishing my relationship with Him for me to arm myself from doubts and fears knowing that with God and being one with Him I AM POSSIBLE

8. IF YOU TRY TO BECOME EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE, YOU BECOME A NOBODY TO NO ONE. THE RICHES IS IN THE NICHES.

One common practice I observe successful people do, may they be entrepreneurs or sales people, is that they focus on one specific market, one that truly resonates to their passion. There, they dedicate their services to this market. This may be a course for first time dads, or a financial consultant, servicing senior citizens, or an organization just for single moms. There must be a narrow, specific niche you focus on. Be an expert in that market and see yourself creating a legacy.

I then saw how my career improved when I started working with people whom I really like and not just chasing after everybody with scattered purpose.

9. PAIN IS MY FRIEND. IT FORCED ME TO PAY ATTENTION.

Its pretty hard to look at pain this way when you are experiencing sleepless nights because of the excruciating pain brought by heart ache or illness or maybe failure to achieve something you have worked so hard for. During those times, all I want to do is get rid of such pain as fast I can, but the more I resist it, seems like I experience even much greater pain. It is true that during success we party, but during failure, we ponder, and when we do that, thats when breakthrough experiences take place. We are forced to pay attention… We are then introduced to our other “selves”. The authentic self who will teach us what we are here for in the first place

10. LIFE IS A “JUST” EMPLOYER. LIFE GIVES YOU WHAT YOU “ASK”.

Quoted from the book of Napoleon Hill “ Think and Grow Rich”. This book created a huge paradigm shift in my mind because the principles of this book taught me how to “ask”. Not the type of asking that is based in doubt and fear but the kind of asking that is definite and in a strong state of certainty and Faith. A sheer wishful thinking wont work and what I exactly did was wrote the kind of day I would like to be waking up each day with all the specific details. With clarity theres power.

My life is not perfect now but its with a purpose. I wake up every morning excited just to be alive and I act inline with my purpose. I am a work in progress and so are you. You may be in your 20s or your 40s but what truly matters is when do you choose to “ wake up?” Sleep walking through life and die without really living your purpose is the worst that can happen to a person. As my favorite world renowned speaker said: Live full and die empty! Live strong everyone!
