Drowning

Fishes underneath the water.

Abnormality in my gills,

Bent perceptions underneath the water, clarity in the air.

Short Sighted beneath the water,

Easily finessed.

Never rising above to catch my breath,

Oxygen supply from your devilish kisses.

Never saw further from the abuse I was subjected to,

Only drowning further in the pretentious cold warmth.

Manipulated perceptions with hues of beautiful light rays,

Lack of clarity under the water; I trusted you.

Visions underneath the water

Light rays bend. Refractive Index differs.

Perceptions changes.

Your hands caressing my face.

Constantly felt like your hands on my neck.

Your hands on my head,

Constantly felt like pushing my head beneath the ocean.

I thought the hues of blurred light rays were the most enchanting beauty I’ve ever seen.

However, I never realized the beauty of life on land.
