From books to computers; computers to tablets; tablets to smartphones, and now: wearable technology. The capabilities of technology have evolved at a pace matched by their intuitive usability.
Today, educational apps exist for every subject imaginable. The self-motivated learner has access to thousands of educational apps in subjects as diverse as geography, latin, and culinary arts. Many of the world’s most prestigious universities now offer online courses.
But what exists for corporate education? Whilst there are a range of mobile recruitment platforms and job portals, shouldn’t job seekers, whether they be school leavers, undergraduates or graduates, also be able to access learning beyond traditional educational studies? Work relevant technical skills, internal processes, project management. All accessed via an App?
Mobile-Learning has the potential to extend education beyond the completion of final exams into and throughout our working lives. Young professionals are often time poor and financially unable to commit to a formal learning template. Instead they are seek the easiest, access on demand, solution allowing them to compete in the workforce.
