To look at one thing, and see a million.
To turn sadness into longing
To turn the shocking
Into something from which we won’t turn away.
To translate beyond what appears obvious
Or make what seems obvious a mystery.
Art is looking at the cars in the parking
And seeing something different each time
Seeing the unknown and the abstract
And then the gray lines of something and someone I love
Seeing Dana, seeing our lives instead of the metal
That’s art.
