Slack’s problems are different from email but probably worse.

Using Slack for a company with a large number of employees is never a good idea. Think about the number of private channels created. It’s working alright for our company made up of less than 25 people. There is always a channel for projects we work on and we put it on archive after it’s done. The temptation to slack around Slack is always there, but it’s a choice. Yes, it can kill productivity, so does Facebook.
