Pueblo Bulls face Provo Riverblades for first home series of the season

PUEBLO — The Pueblo Bulls are back at home and man does it feel good. The hometown team had their first home series of the season over the weekend, facing the Provo Riverblades, earning their first sweep of the season.

The Bulls won 7–2 on Friday, 7–2 on Saturday, and 9–3 on Sunday.

For the first time since the inaugural season in 2019, fans were allowed back in the arena to cheer on their favorite team, and the crowds were thrilled to be back cheering on the Bulls.

There were a lot of firsts and milestones for the Bulls over the course of the series.

Ben St-Onge lit up the score sheet, tallying a goal or an assist in every game, earning three goals and five assists, for eight points in the series. He has seven goals and seven assists for 14 points, ranking 17th in the league in points. St-Onge was named USPHL Mountain Division Forward of the Week on Oct. 6.

KC McMenamin scored his first junior league goal in the 7–2 win Friday night. He obtained one assist last season.

Brendan Dicker scored his first goal as a Bull in the 7–2 win Saturday night.

Austin Gipson made an impact on the scoresheet as well. The Colorado Springs native made four goals and one assist for a total of five points.

Goaltender Artem Lantukh had 44 saves on 48 shots. He currently has 95 saves and a .931 save percentage, and goaltender Cade Corbin suited up in his first Bulls game in the 9–3 win Sunday. He had 20 saves on 23 shots that game.

The Bulls hit the road to Utah Oct. 15–16, facing the Ogden Mustangs and the Utah Outliers. The Bulls will be home again Oct. 22–24, playing the Utah Outliers.
