I love this article! You two are the best. It’s a honor to be the parent of ANY child, and to learn that your child is aware of who they are, is a blessing as well. We don’t have all the answers no matter what, so what’s the difference really… but to hear that you two let your son take the lead is FANTASTIC!!! Isn’t their HAPPINESS part of our responsibility as their parent.

I love me sons. My eldest., Aidan is 12. He’s a bit of a nerdy, science kid who loves anime’, I love him just the way he is.

My son, Evan is 9. He is creative, and loving and warm! He can do the Chinese splits, paint and dance and has worn a crown. He also loves jewelry, well anything frankly, that ‘sparkles’!!

I’ve know forever that he was a special spirit and in fact may join C.J. as “gender creative” (I kinds like the phrase…) He likes his guy buddies, but most of his friends but jis bff’s are female. He climbed in the car after a playdate with his bestie and had a face full of makeup and nails polished pink. The hosting Mother came running out to the car with a panic stricken look on her face, and Evan wasn’t sure how I was going to react… . I looked at them both and said: “good job on the eye shadow, now get in here, we have to pick up your brother…!” She sighed, I smiled and waved and we drove away.

What are you going to do?! Love them!

One of the older boys at school at their school pronounced in front of everyone on the yard that he thought Evan was ‘gay’ and my older son’s best buddy said: “I know, right? He’s the HAPPIEST KIDS I KNOW!!” Right on, Oin, Right on!
