Day two and three of juicing

Juicing has been a wonderful experience thus far. I am so happy with my purchase of the Breville Juice Fountain and will continue to recommend it to everyone I talk too. My second and third days of juicing were spent on my camper and actually the juicer is way more portable than I suspected. My taste buds were treated with a carrot pear juice. Before, you stop reading because you would NEVER drink carrot… hear me out. The carrot juice was wonderful, the pear and lemon cover the taste of the carrots. It is mind boggling. In case you would like to try this recipe I will write it at the bottom of this entry. The best part of juicing this weekend was being trapped in a small space with my family because they were forced to try my juices and LOVED them. In fact, my dad would like to join in on my 7-day juice cleanse. The cleanse is inspired by Joe Cross and has various health benefits. I also crossed another huge juicing milestone this weekend, and that was using Kale in my juice. Now the taste of the Kale was actually great, however it did not have much juice within it. This is because Kale is jam-packed with nutrients and does not expel as much juice (water) as some of the other green leafy vegetables. If you do plan on using Kale I recommend juicing it first so the juices from the other vegetables push it through the shoot. As always, I am eager to learn as much as I can about juicing and I hope you keep up with my juicing adventures.

P.S- Below is the Carrot recipe I was talking about:

Carrot Juice

  • 8 Medium size Carrots
  • 1 pear
  • 1 inch of ginger
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 kale leaves (optional)
