I appreciate this article but I would disagree on the black and white-ness of the environment change. You can still be committed to being alcohol-free and interact within an environment where alcohol exists and around people who drink it. It requires a deeper level of connection to your desire and mindfulness where you become so committed to it that your environment becomes neutralized in its effect.
