Norman Rockwell always painted pictures with people. He became a painter very early: when he was fifteen. At that age, he painted four Christmas postcards. Then he started to take orders. But he started to draw pictures about American life when he moved with his wife and children to Vermont. It was in the thirty’s. He painted many pictures during his life, especially about the freedom of America, but one day he decided to paint a picture of his family that had a very interesting history. His family made a big mark on history and I would like to tell you this wonderful story.
Once upon a time in the 17th century Adelaida was born in the colony of the Spanish empire. She was the only child of the governor. Adelaida had a perfect education and looked with optimism on her life. She was interested in stories about sailors and she wanted to travel across the sea.
But her parents tried to make her marry the Knight Commander of the Order of the Spanish Crown Diego de Ochoa. They should do it because it could help their Spanish empire. Adelaida did not want that deal, she wanted to find a real love and she decided to run away on the ship of the pirates. They did not want to take her on their ship, but she said that she could do everything. Pirates agreed but at the beginning, they treated her unkindly and made her do many things. But after they became friends they understood that Adelaida was a good girl.
Also she fell in love with the captain of the ship. His name is Sebastian. They loved each other very much.
At the same time when Diego learned that his fiancée ran away he was furious. He occupied a territory of the colony of the Spanish empire and took hostage the parents of Adelaida. He was a cruel governor and did not allow folks to do many things.
When Adelaida learned it, she came back with her new friends and rebelled against Diego. Folks helped them too and finally she killed Diego. Also Sebastian found and freed her parents and after that, they said that Adelaida would be a new governor of the colony of the Spanish empire. Sebastian and his pirates decided to help her with the colony and then Sebastian and Adelaida got married.
Adelaida gave birth to Clarisa. Adelaida did not want to make her marry for their needs, but one day she saw a Carl that was a counselor of Britain at the reception of her parents and she fell in love with him. This marriage helped to enlarge the territory of the colony.
Clarisa returned a tradition of a marriage of convenience and it was for two generations: Clarisa’s son Tulio married Beitris who was a daughter of the Foreign Minister of Scotland. Their daughter Dolores married Aimo that was an aristocrat of Finland but then they gave birth to Kiara and Kimberley. Two sisters found two brothers who were soldiers and they decided to marry them. Parents were against that, but girls were stubborn, and they ran away with guys to other countries.
Kimberley with blonde, curly hair and her Union soldier Sam moved to Norway by the ship and on the ship, Kimberley gave birth to Alan. He remembered his childhood on the ship, those memories made him feel very happy, and he wanted to be a sailor. But life wasn’t so good: parents did not have enough money for living. He often liked to go for a walk near the sea and there he met new friends that were pirates. He did not know about their “profession”, he thought that they were sailors. Alan told them about his problems and dreams and they offered him to earn some money and travel across the sea for free. He was excited to hear this, he thought that his dreams could come true and he agreed. But he didn’t know that he would become a pirate but after agreement he didn’t have a choice. He travelled a lot, stole money and even auctioned men.
They stole an Indian princess Aditi, she was a southerner and had olive skin. She was so unusual for Alan and she fell in love with her. She thought that it was a good way to come back, and she told him that she wanted dry land. He was ready to do everything for her and they ran away from the ship but she did not know that she would never come back. They were in America. She was frustrated, but after some time she liked America and decided to stay with Alan.
Aditi gave birth to their child. Alan called him Sebastian; he gave him his name because of his great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather that was a pirate too.
Sebastian became a rancher in Texas, because he liked animals very much. He had a big hat and big mustache. One day a showgirl Emma came to a village where Sebastian lived to make a film. She wanted to drink milk and came to him. When she saw him, she liked his mustache and kept her eyes on it. And he liked his blue eyes and could not keep his eyes on other things too. They stayed like statues for a very long time and after they understood that they fell in love at first sight. Then Anne was born.
At the same time daughter of Kiara that was a sister of Kimberley became a puritan in Germany. Then Helen — that is the name of their daughter — felt in love with a Rudolf that was older than she was. His parents, especially his father Bram who was a Confederate soldier, were shocked. They did not want that relationship but they could not do anything with the love of their son. After some time he adopted a child with his boyfriend. It was a guy named Herman.
Herman was interested in history; especially he liked to see America on his TV and wanted to move from Germany. But his parents were very strict because they were puritans and they made Herman to believe in God and liked only Germany. He disagreed every time and he had planned his trip to America for a long time. He earned some money and one day he picked up his suitcases and ran away.
In America, he started to work as a history teacher. In that school a beautiful and marvelous girl Mary in a cute hat taught the Spanish language. He fell in love with her and they married. She gave birth to Jarvis.
When he grew up, he moved to New York to study. There he found Anne that was with a beautiful smile and was a daughter of the showgirl and the rancher. They fell in love and Anne gave birth to Norman.
