Drinking from a fire hose

Another short story because homework is consuming all of my creative thinking time.
Last summer, local fire fighters helped make a slip-and-slide party fantastic for a group of kids looking to celebrate the end of their camp. I have seen a lot of great events in Claremore, and the city has taught me about the heartbeat of community. I have seen a lot of entities work together to make the quality of life better for everyone. I constantly take notes to use in my leadership courses.
I have learned creativity requires time. I can’t just sit down and produce a great story. It requires exploring my past and analyzing how it impacts who I am. If anything, writing every day has made me more familiar with my own creative rhythm. Unfortunately, outside circumstances make creativity difficult if not impossible if I do not have the right environment.
The recent assignment I just completed made me finally understand the saying, “It is like drinking from a fire hose.”
Three more days of the podcast launch.
