Announcing Krunker Ranked, new highly-rewarding gameplay developed in partnership with FACEIT

Dear Krunker community!

Today we are thrilled to announce Ranked, a new exciting mode to play Krunker which we’ve been working on together with FACEIT for a long time as many of you already know.

We knew that to truly transform Krunker into one of the best FPS games out there, we had to design and develop a new experience that aims to bring more value to your game time on Krunker, while tackling major gameplay issues which many of you are more than familiar with:

• Poor server performance which can lead to your hits not registering
• Cheaters/Hackers that ruin the fun and fair gameplay for everyone.
• Poorly balanced matches with players that are far worse or far better than you.
• Lack of things to play for every day, which can lead to gameplay becoming dry/stale
• Lack of rank and Elo rating system that recognizes and rewards good players

Ranked mode is our gift to everyone who has been waiting for solutions to these issues and we honestly can’t wait any longer to share with you what Ranked is and how it will impact your gameplay! Let’s jump slide right into it.

Play Ranked. Make your matches count.

Ranked is a skill-based matchmaking system that can be joined through the Krunker website, game client, and FACEIT.com. Once you navigate to the ranked page inside the game, with a simple press of the “PLAY” button you will be sent into the ranked queue system that will match you against other players.

Your ranked match gameplay will be enriched by many new improvements and features coming exclusively to the Ranked mode:

• FACEIT Anti-Cheat — All ranked matches are protected by the FACEIT Anti-Cheat, which detects and bans cheaters in real-time to ensure fun and fair gameplay for everyone. Players that are required to use the Anti-Cheat will be able to access Ranked mode only through the Krunker game client.
• More KR and XP rewards — Earn 30% more KR and experience when playing ranked matches, making it the most effective way to grind KR or level up your account. Each player that wins a ranked match is guaranteed to receive between 80–95 KR, while if you lose you are guaranteed to receive between 30–70 KR.
• Skill-based Matchmaking — Our skill-based matchmaking system will match you with and against players of similar skill level as yours to avoid one-sided matches. Our matching algorithm will factor in your Elo rating, party size and several other factors to create a perfectly balanced match for you.
• Rank and Elo Rating system — Get ready for Ranked Season 1 where you will get to rise through the ranks and challenge yourself to become a better player. After finishing your placement matches you will be put in one of the five ranked divisions: bronze, silver, gold, diamond, master. Every Ranked match, win or loss, will impact your rank. Ranked seasons will be 2 months long.
• Exclusive skins — Every Ranked season will bring new exclusive skins to the FACEIT Shop which can only be purchased with FACEIT Points. Players are able to obtain FACEIT Points by playing in ranked leagues and ladders or completing missions.
• Party system — You will be able to queue up for Ranked mode with up to 3 friends. They say victory is best when it’s shared, so make sure to call your friends to play together.
• 64/128-tick servers (COMING SOON IN SEASON 1) — You will get to play on high-quality servers with high-tick rate registration. Higher tickrate leads to overall better gameplay which results in: better hit registration, better sync between client/server, better physics, and smoother gameplay (animations, movement, whatever you see on screen). UPDATE: Closed Beta will have improved servers as tested with our alpha group players, however we are still working towards very high tickrates. We are almost there but we want to make sure the experience is perfect. We are aiming to go live with them during Ranked Season 1.

How to start playing?

To get exclusive access to Ranked mode, you will need to apply for the Closed Beta:

1. Head over to the FACEIT website
2. Create a FACEIT account
3. Connect your Krunker account
4. Apply for Beta

We’ll send you an invitation to your FACEIT email if you are accepted. We recommend you to apply right away, as the first wave of invitations will go live today at 18:00 CET. In case you don’t get an invitation, do not worry! There will be plenty more to come in the upcoming days until the full launch later this November.

Ranked is not only a solution to the major issues that every player is experiencing in matches today, it’s also an opportunity for you to engage with the game on a deeper level and in a more serious environment. It will ask for more commitment from everyone and you will often find yourself being challenged to improve yourself.
