Krypt Kitties: The Origin

When we first started Krypt Kitties, we had no idea what this project was going to turn into. We just knew that there was a story dying to be told and bloodthirsty characters waiting to be made!

Envisioning a world of vampire kitties and dog hunters, @habits brought together @cerine_030 (the artist) and @miideum (the writer) to build an NFT collection rooted in lore and a cohesive universe that we could all explore together.

The first step was figuring out how we wanted to tell our story. The greatest and perhaps hardest thing about starting any NFT project is that the canvas is wide open. Frighteningly limitless in its scope. We bounced around from idea to idea… We could do an interactive murder mystery? Maybe a choose-your-own adventure?

To be honest, we’re still working out exactly what aspects we want to include but for now, we landed on laying the foundation for the Krypt Kitties’ universe through comic strip storytelling.

Inspired by the worlds of Tim Burton, Adventure Time, and other artists like Ma-ko, the first potential draft of our comic was made and we’re so excited to slowly share more and more of the Krypt Kitties’ world with all of you!
