I just got a tax lien withdrawn which means there should be NO RECORD of it whatsoever on my credit report. I have a letter from the IRS proving that. Im pretty sure the lien is showing up on at least 2 of the bureaus of not all 3. I realize that IF i do nothing that the liens may be removed on their own. But that could take 30–90 days. I want it off NOW. So, my question is…is there any downside to sending in proof that the liens should be removed now ? Do I have to have requested a report recently in order to file the dispute ? I haven’t but I know it hit my score back in Nov. My score didn’t go down 100 points for anything else. Help! Chase is raising my interest rate on my credit card to 31%?
I received a letter explaining that my rate will be going up from 15% to 31% in January. I called & asked why since I have had my account for almost 10 years, NEVER late & ALWAYS pay more than the minimum due.
