However, crafting condensed resin can sometimes be frustrating, as it requires capturing elusive crystalflies, butterfly-like creatures that hold the key ingredient: “crystal core.”
Each region in Teyvat is home to unique crystalfly species: Mondstadt has “anemo crystalflies,” Liyue has “geo crystalflies,” Inazuma has “electro crystalflies,” and Sumeru has “dendro crystalflies.” Capturing any type of species yields one “crystal core” material. Fortunately, specific areas in each region contain a high number of crystalflies.

TIP: When capturing crystalflies, it’s crucial to avoid startling them upon contact. To help with this, consider bringing Sayu, whose passive talent prevents crystalflies from getting startled when approached. If you do not have Sayu in your party, you can use characters like Kazuha or Wanderer, who can leap into the air, or tall characters like Jean, Zhongli, Childe, Alhaitham, or Diluc, to reach higher crystalflies with ease. These character choices will assist you in becoming a master crystalfly catcher and optimizing your crystal core farming for Condensed Resin crafting.
Mondstadt (28–36 crystalflies):
Windrise: Located near the largest oak tree in Mondstadt, expect to find 5–8 crystalflies here.
Springvale: Near a forest boar, you can capture 3–4 crystalflies in this area.
Dawn Winery: Upon teleporting to the Statue of Seven, encounter 3 crystalflies. Down the hill, explore the vineyard and rooftops to find 20–24 more.
Liyue (23–31 crystalflies):
North of Mt. Aocang: Teleport to Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern or the nearby domain. Gather 8–10 crystalflies here.
Guyun Stone Forest: Head to the Domain of Guyun or its vicinity (Archaic Petra and Retracing Bolide artifact domain). Expect to find 8–10 crystalflies in this area.
Mt. Tiangheng: Teleport to the west part of Liyue and explore the cave guarded by hilichurls. Gather 4–6 crystalflies.
South of Wayward Path Domain: Teleport to the hilltop waypoint and follow the water stream to reach a cave with a cryo abyssal mage. Without gliding down, you’ll find 3–5 crystalflies at the cave entrance.
Inazuma (38–50 crystalflies):
Tatarasuna: Near the waypoint, summon an Electrogranum to reach the hilltop. Find 15–20 crystalflies circling around the Thunder Sakura trees and more below the furnace.
Asase Shrine and Koseki Village: Inside an underground cave with a broken ship in Koseki Village or near the edge of the hill in Asase Shrine, expect 10–12 crystalflies.
Amakumo Peak: Start at the bottom waypoint, glide down to 3 crystalflies, then return to the waypoint and glide down to the inner crater. Teleport to the upper waypoint for the remaining 10–13 crystalflies.
BONUS: East of Chinju Forest: Unlockable through the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest, find 3–5 crystalflies at the entrance of the cave.
Sumeru (29–38 crystalflies):
Fane of Ashvattha: Teleport slightly north to the waypoint on top of a hill to encounter crystalflies. Head north for more near a sleeping Shaggy Sumpter Beast (10–13 crystalflies).
Chinvat Ravine: Teleport to the waypoint below the location to find 3–4 crystalflies.
Valley of Dahri: Teleport to the statue of seven, glide to the east part of the valley, and explore the cave. Be cautious of Grounded Hydroshroom and Floating Hydro Fungus guarding 4–6 crystalflies.
TIP: Capture crystalflies before engaging in battle, as they flee when contacted with normal attacks (NA), charged attacks (CA), elemental skills, or elemental bursts.
Aaru Village: Teleport to the Statue of Seven, then explore the outskirts of the village (12–15 crystalflies).
