I enjoyed reading your examples of how socialization played a role in your life as you were growing up. When you wrote about the combination bookstore/ice cream shop it sounded like heaven to me. I love both ice cream and reading and it sounds like a place that I would be very hesitant to leave if I got the chance to visit.
