The Global Crisis of Humanity Explained in Ninety Seconds

Humanity is a model-dependent species. We can’t conceive what we can’t see. We can’t build other than we can conceive. Humanity, through modeling, has erroneously identified all biological species as ‘struggling to survive in a hostile environment’ and identified itself with and as just another biological species under perpetual siege.

From this erroneously interpreted model, humanity has constructed its primary interspecies and intraspecies social systems to reflect the predator/prey model of behavior as we conceive it is playing out among the biological species.

We have failed to recognize nature is not ‘competitive’ but extremely cooperative in a way which is mutually beneficial and sustainable to all biological species and the environment upon which all species are dependent for their survival.

Having built our social systems to match our misconceptions, today every human being without exception is either predator or prey; only predators have any choice as to what they shall be. The vast majority of us are an unacknowledged mix. Because we set the structure of the social system (made the rules) to mimic nature as we conceive it, the predator always has the social advantage.

Having adopted these error-filled models we now experience life as we describe it: dangerous from crib to grave. We can’t cooperate in ways that are mutually beneficial. Our enterprises cannot sustain us or our environments. Moreover, we struggle desperately to survive in a world perfectly engineered to sustain us for billions of years, and where we are the ecosystem’s, the geosphere’s, and our only predator.
