Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced super-soldier, defends humanity from the alien Covenant in the 26th century.

Perspective — Who hasn’t played Halo Video Game

Can’t understand all the negativity. Probably few nerd childish fanboys are over reacting. If you’ve never played the game it’s a pretty decent show to watch. People need to have an open mind. Give it a chance. Series progressively gets better.

This may be different from the original game but it’s still good at its own thing. Congrats to the authors for their courage: they knew they were messing with a lot of stuff the fans would not want to see changed. Yet, they did anyway and the end result is mostly good. The action is great, the suit is well made, actors do a fine job (it’s a video game series after all) and overall it stays together well.

I liked all the characters/actors, acting efforts except one. The only character that annoys the hell out of me is young Kwan played by Yerin Ha. Kwan Ha is so cliché heroic side character and annoying as hell. I couldn’t get through her parts.

Its a show with aliens and superhumans. I dont know why people are expecting so many elements of realism (especially in the action). This definitely has potential. Don't be too quick to write it off.

Don't listen to bad reviews & pre-decide that it is bad. Watch it yourself with an open mind & then decide.

I surely enjoyed most parts not all. Waiting for Season 2 now…!!!

My Rating : 7/10

Few other thoughts

There are a lot of people making a *HUGE* issue of — He never reveals his face in the games. Sorry to break it to those people but there was precisely *ZERO* chance that this show would ever get made if they never showed his face. That’s just reality kids.

Furthermore, Master Chief absolutely *DOES* take off his helmet all the time in the games — he takes it off at the end of the first game, and multiple times in other games as well (not to mention *all* of the novels) — you just never get to see him from that perspective because — wait for it — the games are *FIRST PERSON PERSPECTIVE* games. Seriously, get a grip with yourselves.

Comparing this to the Mandalorian, which is the only show I’ve seen that actually tried this faceless main character thing, I really prefer this approach which actually gives some room for acting and character development. I think Pablo Schreiber does a great job on this.
