How Leverage Technology And Be A Savvy Investor

While listening to the Tim Ferriss podcasts, I heard about this amazing company Wealthfront Financial that leverages technology for the best investment outcomes.

In 2015, I read Tony Robbin’s book, Money — Master The Game where he talks about simple yet powerful investment strategies. I’ve been itching to take action and put most, if not all, strategies to work. The challenge I faced was I didn’t know where to start. This is where Wealthfront financial comes into the picture.

1. The investment is diversified (different industries, foreign countries, etc.) and in different asset class (stocks, bonds etc.). Wealthfront software automatically manages the diversification
2. They only charge 0.25% in fees — and first $10,000 investment is managed for free. This is super-low considering how much other companies with “fancy” offices charge. They have very low overhead cost and therefore they charge customers less fees
3. I like the fact that you can invest a certain amount every month. There is data that shows that if you invest a certain amount regularly (such as every month) and not invest when stock market goes up or down, you will end up with a more positive outcome. In other words, your loss and gains average out and you still end up in the positive.
4. Lastly you can harness the power of compound interest by investing a certain amount every month. This is very powerful and money can grow significantly over a longer 20–30 year timeframe.
5. Wealthfront automatically rebalances your portfolio (re-distributes money based on profit/loss in a given area). It takes away headache of managing your portfolio based on how the market is performing.

My goal is that by investing through Wealthfront, my investment will grow between 5–7% year after year.
