Amen. I have never agreed with the policies of the Democratic party, but I have been disgusted for years at a Republican party that seems willing to sanction any sort of extremist position as long as it is anti-Obama (or anti-Nancy Pelosi or anti-Harry Reid). As long as the party is more concerned with keeping the votes of the angry and fanatical than with providing principled leadership in the best interests of the country as a whole, I just can’t trust them to do the right thing when the next big decision comes along. Maybe if they get more Paul Ryans I will come back some day. Until then…
