Why I will never fly WOW Air again and you shouldn’t either

I found this article because a friend of mine is having a similar situation right now, posting about it on FB, flying from LAX. I was blown away because I flew them recently and had a totally fine journey both ways, no problem. They did forget to give me the free meal I was meant to have because I paid for the extra large legroom seat, but whatever, I didn’t really care that much, and when they realized they were very apologetic. Anyway, I was reading my friend’s updates, and I thought, “that’s insane, that has to be an anomaly, I had a fine time.” So I googled wow air, and found this, and I’m amazed that so many people have had such a rough time.

I wonder how many people have had perfectly fine, or even great experiences, and you just don’t hear about it because people are more prone to write Medium stories and tweet complaining about something rather than praising. Every day thousands of people fly Wow, and there are a few hundred things like this on the interwebs. Even at your airport at SFO, there were other flights on Wow that day, and the next day, and they weren’t all delayed, right? I’m not saying it didn’t suck. Just that it can’t be the norm for them, or else there wouldn’t be any flights at all.

Anyway, I’m sorry you had such a crappy flight, but hooray for having a great time in Iceland, no? It’s one of my favorite places in the world.
