I think this topic deserves much more attention and interest from our practitioners and influencers. When I’ve broached the subject, I see at best sympathetic smiles in the vein of “you poor dumb puppy” and at worst a hostile rebuke about creativity being innately human. What might we see as outcomes from this shifting largely formulaic parts of our practice to AI and ML. What’s left and where do we practice it? Is creative practice absorbed into business seamlessly. Do the independents become “consultants” and “facilitators” exclusively? I would argue that we’ll always be finding and exploring new creative outlets. But we better come to terms with fundamental shifts in the way we make the sausage or risk being left out of the conversation entirely.
