What can I eat on the keto diet?

The keto diet is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet that is designed to put your body into a state of ketosis. In order to achieve this state, you should limit your carbohydrate intake to around 20-50 grams per day, and increase your intake of healthy fats.

Foods that are typically allowed on the keto diet include:

Meat: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, etc.

Fish and seafood: salmon, tuna, trout, shrimp, etc.

Low-carb vegetables: spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, avocado, etc.

Nuts and seeds: almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, flaxseeds, etc.

Healthy fats: olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, butter, etc.

Dairy products: cheese, cream, butter, yogurt (unsweetened), etc.

Eggs: whole eggs or egg whites

Berries: strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc. (in moderation)

Foods that you should generally avoid or limit on the keto diet include:

High-carb vegetables: potatoes, corn, peas, etc.

Grains: wheat, rice, oats, etc.

Sugars: candy, soda, fruit juice, etc.

Processed foods: packaged snacks, crackers, chips, etc.

Fruits: most fruits are high in carbohydrates and should be avoided, but small amounts of berries may be included in moderation.

It's important to note that the keto diet is not suitable for everyone, and it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new diet. Additionally, it's important to make sure that you're getting all of the nutrients that your body needs, so it's a good idea to eat a variety of nutrient-dense foods and possibly consider taking supplements if necessary.
