What is WWDC?
WWDC stands for Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. Apple uses the event to showcase its new software and technologies for software developers. It held annually and is very important for both Developers and Users. This year WWDC was started on Tuesday, 22 June 2020 as a five day event. Today I would like to share some interesting iOS updates that Apple Users will going to see in upcoming update of iOS 14.
iOS 14
Apple in its upcoming update for iOS bring quit major and interesting updates that will definitely going to boost users experience for using iPhone. Today, I am going to introduce you to some of these major changes announced in WWDC. So let’s start -
App Library
As shown above, Earlier a number of Applications are listed on different home pages where users find it difficult to allocate desired app quickly, to overcome this strain of users apple is going to introduce APP LIBRARY in its upcoming update. It is a new space which automatically adjust app in workspace to create easy navigation for apps. Thus with the help of app library users does not need all app pages at all instead they simply use app library with search bar. Let’s have a quick look to new update -
It’s smart intelligence automatically add newly installed apps in recommended workspace. Like if any of a user install Netflix then it automatically enters in Entertainment Workspace.
Siri
Siri is an intelligent assistant that offers a faster, easier way to get things done on your Apple devices.
Yael Garten, Director of Siri Data Science and Engineering at Apple announces that they are getting 25 billion request on Siri every month. Thus they look forward to enhance Siri experience by bringing major updates. Now, Siri will be able to send audio messages also. It opens any application easily and respond to any query with notification. Once of the most important feature that we will be seeing in this update is of Language Translation by new Apple App Translate that can convert from any one language to another of listed eleven worldwide languages in offline mode as mentioned below -
App Clip
Apple is going to launch App Clip in iOS 14 marked as most interested and beneficiary feature for the iPhone Users. An app clip is a small part of your app that’s discoverable at the moment it’s needed. App clips are fast and lightweight so a user can open them quickly. Let us know more about App Clip with an example. Suppose you had visited a Coffee Shop and you need Bar Code Reader to read bar code which is not pre-installed in your iPhone then you need not to spend time on downloading the app and then use. You just simply load it from App Clip thus saving your time. All app clips app are announced to be made under 10MB size for fast loading. Once you use the app its all cache files will be removed from device automatically if not not used for several days.
But if you use the App Clip Application regularly then system does not clean the cache and it’s related data.
