ASUS ROG Phone 3 : New Era of Gaming Smartphone
For what is now the third time in a roll, Asus set out and created a benchmark device for mobile gaming. Asus had launched world’s best gaming smartphone ROG Phone 3 of its ROG phone series on 22 July,2020. The phone is packed with most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor and become the first phone to support this process yet. Let’s have a look to all the specifications and features that is going to make our gaming experience much better.

It is quite observing that ASUS on its every ROG phone launch brought the most powerful processor of the time to make the phone stand on the other side of different smartphone brands. The new-gen ROG Phone is the first to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor with 5G Mobile Network support, packs a 6000 mAh battery, Air Triggers for console-like gaming experience, 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with 2340×1080 pixel resolution and HDR10 support., 30W UFS-3.1 fast charging and triple rear camera setup. The doesn’t had headphone jack and also doesn’t support micro-SD card although its internal memory goes to 512GB which might probably be sufficient.
The smartphone has 144Hz of refresh rate with 25ms touch latency which does the work of cherry on cake making the best display. The company has separately launched accessories including the Kunai Gamepad, TwinView Dock, Lightning Armor Case, and the AeroActive Cooler. The smartphone comes in two variants — 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage (Rs 47,999) and 12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage (Rs 57,999).
What’s it like to game on the ROG 3?
The complex cooling system — consisting of a graphite film layer, 3D vapor chamber, and a huge vapor chamber — keeps the rear of the phone from getting too warm, even over the duration of a 15-minute PUBG battle royale match — a session of similar length would turn the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus’ rear cover hot enough to be uncomfortable to rest your fingers on.
Modification of Capactive Should buttons making the use of physical additional input outside the display had become more helpful for the gamer. Personal Perception
ROG Phone line is, arguably, one of the main architects of the increasingly-expanding gaming-specific mobile hardware market in its current form.Compared to the ROG Phone II, the ROG Phone 3 constitutes more of an incremental upgrade than a major splash in the industry. It is no longer the sole player inside the niche either. Also the phone might be the best one to provide gaming experience but I am not gonna buy a smartphone for improving my gaming states by spending 50K.
While we continue to maintain that no competitor has managed to even come close to the sophistication of the numerous ROG Phone features and design solutions, without even discussing its unparalleled accessory ecosystem, nubia’s efforts with the Red Magic line seem to come the closest. At the time of writing this review, the Red Magic 5G is still the latest available model, with the Red Magic 5S right around the corner. Red Magic 5S will feature an upgrade to the Snapdragon 865+ and some cooling improvements as its headlining features.
