What if solar companies started building manufacturing facilities in rural parts of the US (including Appalachia)? I don’t see why companies shouldn’t move towards a labor force that is available & cheaper real estate. Plus then communities could remain intact, which seems to matter as much as the cheaper cost of living for unemployed coal workers.
