The Language of Illegal Immigration

I think it’s important to remember that many children don’t choose to be undocumented immigrants, yet they are the ones who suffer the most. I know many people shrug it off saying it’s the parents’ fault for putting them in that situation, but most of the time, that situation is much better than the one they were facing in their homeland. It may not be okay, but it certainly doesn’t give those born into privilege the right to ignorantly dehumanize innocent individuals who are merely searching for a better life.
