My hubby and I have always been dog lovers and grew up with them, with our conversations often revolving around the four-legged companions. So when he floated the idea of gifting me a puppy for my birthday, it was an enthusiastic yes. However, the search for the perfect breed that would seamlessly blend with our lifestyle wasn’t as easy. Living in a snug one-bedroom apartment, a high-energy breed was off the cards. We poured over countless websites, forums, and YouTube videos, searching for our future canine companion. And that’s when we stumbled upon the Olde English Bulldogge.

It was our first encounter with this breed and have never seen one in person. Although initially skeptical, we were soon won over by their docile demeanor and adorable features. We decided to take a plunge into the Bulldogge’s world, and it has been one heck of a ride so far!

Absolutely! For first-time dog owners like us, the Olde English Bulldogge has been nothing short of a blessing. Freja, as we affectionately named her, is docile, friendly, and a complete couch potato (most of the time lol) — perfect for our small flat. Although, puppies will be puppies so at 2 months of age when we got her, she’s still a furball of energy and chaos!

Moreover, it has a more athletic and muscular build, and is capable of a wider range of movement.

On average, an Olde English Bulldogge can live up to 12–14 years, given the right diet, exercise, and regular vet check-ups.

Looking back, getting Freja was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made. She has turned our flat into a home, filled with laughter, love, and the occasional slobbery kiss. Here’s to many more years with our darling Bulldogge!
