KWHCoin, Cape Fear Community College to collaborate on advancing Blockchain and Sustainable Technology
KWHCoin is excited to announce a collaboration with Cape Fear Community College (Sustainable Technologies) in a partnership focused on advancing blockchain, decentralization applications, and sustainable technologies. The goal of the collaboration is to work together to develop an effective partnership and focus on the economic impact of creating sustainable economies through technology, energy and water resources.
With over 23,000 students enrolling in classes every year, Cape Fear Community College is a major economic development partner in southeastern North Carolina. CFCC is dedicated to providing world-class workforce training and quality higher education for the citizens of New Hanover and Pender counties. Cape Fear Community College Sustainable Technologies program is a unique and flexible curriculum designed to meet the challenges of the new energy economy. The program’s three focus areas — Sustainability, Renewable Energy, and Building Performance — overlap to provide a technology-oriented Degree that can be found nowhere else.
Course work includes energy use, energy auditing, energy management, energy modeling, building science, weatherization, construction, green building, electricity, renewable energy, photovoltaics, solar thermal, wind, hydroelectricity, site assessment, sustainability, business sustainability, water quality, water use, waste and recycling, environmental technology, and safety. The program is connected to the community and has relationships with many local businesses, non-profits, and governments. Sustainability Technologies students are encouraged to get involved in in community activities, conferences, and networking events.

- Collaborate with CFCC staff and students to offer continued knowledge on how to develop a sustainable economic ecosystem.
- Market the partnership on all social media platforms and media outlets.
