Tonight Tribe Will Continue to Roll Without Judge in Yankees Court
The Cleveland Indians turned it up offensively in the late innings of yesterday’s game against the New York Yankees and got the 6–2 victory. Look for them to continue to bring their bats as Jamie Garcia (5–8, 4.52 ERA) comes to the mound for the Yankees.
The Indians are one of the top hitters in the Majors against left-handed pitching. In his no-decision against the Tigers last Thursday, Garcia gave up two-earned runs (two unearned) on five hits in four innings. He is still trying to get his first victory with the Yankees.
Trevor Bauer (13–8, 4.59 ERA) on the other hand has been steady for the Indians. Last Thursday against the Red Sox, he had a solid outing in 5.1 innings allowing four runs on seven hits (three walks) in the 13–6 win. Back on August 1st in his last match-up against the Yankees, he only allowed one run in their victory.
It is also important to note, that Yankees power hitter Aaron Judge has been sidelined by a shoulder injury. With Judge out of the line-up, it adds to the consideration to take the Indians in this contest. At the time of this writing, the Indians (+100) Yankees (-111).
