Yikes! Disappointing to see a writer who is so adamant about defending science jump on to the offensive in the war on journalism. Sure this article is not peer reviewed, but that is not something anyone is expecting from popular journalism. How many Americans are actually reading peer reviewed journals? Perhaps these studies were done with some questionable methods, but if that is the case then the problem should be with the lab in question, not the writer or the newspaper. What ever happened to not shooting the messenger? What is more concerning is the complete dismissal of any danger coming from the presence of potentially dangerous chemical. People have the right to know what is in their food. If there is a possibility that my food is contaminated (whether or not it actually is) I would like to know, so that I can do more research and make an actual informed decision. This is quite a hypocritical piece from someone who clearly has their own ax to grind.
