Medium is changing, in a perfect way!
That’s true, with those new functionalities, Medium is getting simpler each day.
Writers on Medium have the choice to share something long or short.
We are not stressed using the editor.
The only thing I can regret with this update, is the missing Title while you start to write on the timeline. In my opinion, every single shared thought must start by a key point.
And this key point can be a title that is a sum up of the full-length article. Easier to share, to understand, to catch the eye. It’s a game-changer.
You’ll react by saying that a writer still have the choice to add it or not later, you’d be right. But this way is forcing me to click some more on my article before sharing it.
While I start something new, I only take my pen and a small sheet of paper. The main idea is placed at the top. Then I’d write the main subjects in something that looks like paragraphs (or bullet points).
I use the Medium editor this way too. The title is my main idea. Each paragraphs are the subjects that needs written explanations.
Oh, wait. Let’s take a break.
This minor change isn’t real problem. I shouldn’t complain about it. But as you’re getting to know me, I’m the kind of guy that likes to complain a little before saying that’s not a big deal.
I still love Medium. For it’s editor and those cute tags (serendipity matters!). Keep on doing your awesome work and keep on pushing me beyond my limits.
Without Medium I’d be still writing in French only (my native langage). Thanks to you I try to go further, to get out of my comfort zone.
See you around the text editor for a coffee break ;)
