Less than a week after installing the first Magic Dock Superchargers February 23, 2023, in New York, Tesla has installed and now activated such Superchargers at a total of 10 locations in the United States.

Tesla’s effort to have 10% (roughly 3,500) of its Supercharger stalls available for use by non-Tesla electric vehicles by the end of 2024 is underway.

Tesla is making use of a Magic Dock adapter on its Superchargers that allow them to be used with both Tesla charging ports — known as the North American Charging Standard (NACAS) since November 2022 — as well as the Combined Charging System (CCS) charging port. The Biden administration has adopted the CSS charging port as the standard for use nationwide, forcing Tesla to provide CSS charging options if it wishes to tap into the administration’s $7.5 billion EV charging initiative.

This first wave of Superchargers with Magic Dock consists of two locations in California and eight locations in New York.
