Death Stranding 2: On The Beach — Everything We Know So Far

After Hideo Kojima teased it for a while, Death Stranding 2 finally showed up at the 2024 State of Play event, but fans still don’t know much about it. Along with revealing the subtitle, “On the Beach,” the extended trailer also revealed a release window of 2025. Let’s try and peer inside the mad genius’ mind and unravel the glorious trailer we all got to experience then, shall we? Let’s get into it!

The Story Unfolds

Norman Reedus, who plays Sam Bridges again, is introduced in the trailer as joining a group called Drawbridge and being supported by a “generous patron.” Considering poor Norman is a glorified Postman Pat, I suspect the generous patron is none other than Jeff Bezos…. you read it here first!! Ha-ha! Expanding the network and reuniting the broken world is still Sam’s primary objective. He is joined on his journey by an enigmatic puppet, which adds an unusual dimension and some much-needed comic relief. As Sam and his friends fight to save humanity from impending doom, the storyline suggests a human connection mission that goes beyond UCA. Perhaps connecting planets instead of just the US?
