The Prince of Persia series is one of the most enthralling and enduring sagas ever written. There has always been a sense of anticipation and wistfulness with every new instalment, from the first pixelated marvels to the most recent three-dimensional marvels. Now, in “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown,” developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, players are invited on a fresh adventure that not only breathes new life into the series but also reimagines the Metroidvania genre.

We are more than just players as we go on a journey across the vast and elaborately created realm of Mount Qaf. With its deft incorporation of Metroidvania elements, The Lost Crown invites players to rediscover the enchantment of the original Prince of Persia games. Along the way, we meet Sargon, a member of the legendary Immortals squad whose mission to save the abducted prince takes place in the mythical Persian world. Since Jordan Mechner’s 1989 pixelated masterpiece, we have certainly come a long way. Let’s get into it!
