At the time of the Vista scene forums were at their peak in popularity partially due to how easy Windows XP was to navigate so Grandma could use one. (Our then 80 something year old grandma took computer classes before the major changes took place) Windows XP is STILL nice to navigate and if you stay away from Joe Blow’s Torrent site then your pretty much good to go as the viruses now are aimed to break Win 10. Windows 7 everything in the control panel is named weird. I am not sure why people defend Win 7 but I guess they didn’t grow up in the XP era as there was a new generation growing then that wanted nothing to do with computers. They were gamers and smartphone users. :P

Now when you DO play a game on a PC chances are it’s a crappy console port that didn’t get translated well with bugs and glitches galore. Steam is now mostly games not fully released so you are paying for a buggy beta product as a tester. Steam appeals to the public to be beta testers.
