The narcissism of JavaScript developers

Where does narcissism come into play? I’m confused. Because JavaScript engineers often want to use new frameworks? That’s mostly because older ways of SPA development encourage pretty bad practices like massively shared or mutable state, or unorganized and fragmented code. I don’t think that the desire for these new frameworks and paradigms stems from the fact that JavaScript developers are “narcissistic,” I think it’s just from the desire to actually abide by a pretty widely accepted set of generally good programming practices. I actually want to know though, I know I’m defending js engineers/developers a lot in this comment, but I also realize there’s a lot wrong with the current attitude and ecosystem of todays js
