Why Doesn’t Your Job Keep You Motivated?

Couldn’t agree with you more. The “agreement” angle is a great way to look at it. I’ve been thinking of it as job versus career…a web developer job (what I have) is a bunch of painfully repetitive and menial tasks that I struggle more and more to continue slogging through daily to solve the exact same problems in the exact same way but being required to rewrite the same code every time for no discernible reason; while a web development career would be constantly pushing and challenging me to find new, creative ways to solve the same problems every time forcing me to grow in the process.
