Here’s to Me.

I got caught up in trying to be what I thought I was supposed to be. I tried telling it how I thought it was, not how I knew it was. I found myself regurgitating shit that I had not experienced, not sharing my own real experiences.

No more. Here’s to being Me.

I follow and read the work of many successful businessmen, entrepreneurs, etc. The formula seems easy…say what they say, do what they do, and I will become what they are. The problem is, I am not them, and I will not become who they are.

I am Me, and I will become who I should be.

How can I give advice to others on things I have not experienced? I can’t.

How can I say certain life practices are more effective than others when I haven’t tried them all? I can’t.

How can I claim self-sufficiency when my ideas are those of others? I can’t.

So what can I do?

I can be Me.

Here’s to learning. Here’s to trying and failing. Here’s to sharing true experiences, regardless of outcomes. Here’s to ingesting as much information as possible and spitting out what I make of it. Here’s to truth.

Here’s to Me.
