You need do nothing

Love it. A mentor of mine once had a profound talk with me about this. I have a lot of anxiety and she told me, “never forget to accept your own freedom. Remember to remind yourself that you don’t have to do anything. You don’t have to clean, respond to emails, commit to relationships. Nothing. From there you can simply choose to do them. Not because you have to, but because you choose to and because you see the value in each of them for yourself and others.”

That very simple reframe clicked for me and I have since dropped baggage that I have yet to pick up again.
