After watching a film or TV show, it wouldn’t be long before I was on IMDB checking out the message board chatter. I rarely participated by posting myself, but it was an easy way to get a sense of what others thought about something. I was good at ignoring any troll activity, but many people aren’t, so I understand IMDB’s decision. It’s easy to say, “Oh, just change this up, and do some better monitoring, blah, blah, blah,” but it’s difficult to execute. I guess I’ll miss the boards because they were the only thing I used on IMDB, but what it comes down to is that there is now one less place for trolls to litter with their garbage and negativity. Things are now slightly better than they were yesterday.
