Not to mention that it was not even all that complicated. First time you watch “Memento” or “Inception” you feel this desire to immediately watch it again because there was so much your brain was trying to process plot wise. I’ll enjoy watching “Dunkirk” again but not because there’s room for greater understanding on the narrative. Nope, the timeline for all the events was easily understandable on a single viewing. Of course, one of the writers didn’t even realize which character was Tom Hardy for most of the movie, so I guess we have a pretty small threshold for “complicated” here.
