The Apps I Respected the Most in 2015

Trello

For work and personal tasks, I warmed up to Trello and it now manages most of my projects. It has streamlined the way I process tasks.

Amazon Instant Video

An update of this video streaming service went out earlier in the year. Despite limited options compared to Netflix, Amazon does the job well with streaming.

Office Lens from Microsoft

This app was indispensable during finals. It allows me to take character clear scans of my homework and papers. Its technology works better than most traditional scanners. For free, Microsoft did so well with this one.

Instgram

If you know me, you know I love Instagram. With the non-square photo feature this year, some new filters, and a brand new explore feed, Instagram made some conservative but instrumental strides.

Google Maps

Of course, Google Maps is one of the best apps on my phone. Maps got me around San Francisco, Yosemite, New York City, and Japan. It’s something I could barely live without these days, and it just keeps getting better.

Medium 2.0

To be honest, Medium’s first app was borderline unusable. With the dawn of 2.0, we saw rebranding and a killer new app that garnered 5 stars on the store. It makes blogging a breeze and gives perspective to the slew of new articles being published each day.

Google Photos

Just wow. Google Photos finally solved my issues involving everything I do with a camera. With unlimited storage (with one string attached), this app has come in handy.

AirBnb

I had the joy of using Airbnb three times this year — Tokyo, Kyoto, and Yosemite. All of them were beyond what I expected. Beyond the app, doing Airbnb once during your travels is a must. Its in-app messaging works so well with the real world. I cannot say enough good things about Airbnb.
