12 Things I Learned While Moving

I’ve tried to finsih some other writing but I’m on a quest to finish ALL the new apartment things by Tuesday. So here is a lovely summery of what I’ve learned this weekend.

1. I have too much shit.

2. My old landlord is super easy to trick with a little paint and glue (Yay getting deposit back!)

3. Men have as many clothes as women.

4. Pans are the like Russian stacking dolls, just less grandmotherly.

5. I have amazing friends who will do anything for me.

6. I have decent friends who will do anything for food.

7. He who throws away an Ikea bag will come to regret it on moving day.

8. If you haven’t used it in the last year definitely take it with you to try to use it again before donating it. Good thing you know for sure though!

9. It takes two seconds to wrap a cup in paper. It takes several days to go buy a replacement.

10. Always unpack the coffee press, cup, and dark roast beans first. (Make sure you pack them together in the first place.)

11. Make the bed before you start the heavy duty unpacking. Your body will thank you once you feel the need to collapse.

12. Get a massage. You deserve it.
