The Day The Panhandle Burned
Heston Williams

I live in this area and it was truly heartbreaking and horrible! Someone lost their home because of someone wanted to BBQ with wind speeds at 70+mph i was traveling home down 287 nd I could see the smoke it came all the way into Dumas where I lived. There were multiple fires that day that all surrounded my town. I pray for the lives lost and the poor animals that had to suffer… this was by far the worst experience of my life. I couldn’t imagine if I lost my home where my children and husband live. Or if my animals had burned so horribly ☹ to all the fire fighters I thank you for doing what needed to be done and risking your lives to save mine and others.
