Thank you for sharing this most inspiring and eloquently written story! I enjoyed it even more than white wine. I have been thinking about how I can help the small immigrant-owned businesses in my neighborhood in a similar way. The owners hardly speak English and have no tech knowledge nor marketing skills for that matter. None of them have websites. They just rely on people walking by and referrals to get people in the door.
I saw the potential when I listed a nail salon on Google Business. In just three days, the listing got 328 views and five phone calls via Google. My dentist up the street isn’t even listed in Google Business because they can’t figure out how to do it while I was able to do it on my phone for the nail salon.
Most of the businesses in my area of Los Angeles look like third-world bazaars that can’t even sell sex to dogs in heat. I’m sure many people don’t want to go inside for fear of getting an infection. My pie-in-the-sky dream is to help them get more clientele so they can improve their shops and perhaps get even more businesses.
