Voting Registration in Full Swing

It’s that time of year!

As I left the grocery store this afternoon, a kind, young lady approached me with clipboard in hand. She was sure in her stride and determined in her ambition.

“Are you registered to vote at your current address?” she asked with a smile on her face.

“Yes, ma’am,” I replied with a matching smile. “And thank you for what you’re doing.” She strode off to the next citizen.

I was glad you her get out there, at a grocery store of all places, getting folks registered (or correctly registered) ahead of this election. Community action like that is needed to engage the citizenry. Voting is our call-to-arms to have our voices heard. It’s important at every level. Vote, please.
