Most of the great people that I marvel could be summarized with a single word — proactive. Proactivity is spending time to solve matters before they become issues. Thus, you both avoid the crisis and place yourself at a better position than your opponents.

Since the secondary school, I’ve always been proactive which definitely contributed to my success. What goes around comes around… That’s always true, but when it comes to efforts in your work, you would expect a salary increase for the efforts you make (of course not immediately, but you should at least see the perspectives).

Here comes the difference between the employees:

A proactive employee is someone who takes initiative and takes on tasks and projects without being asked. They often look for ways to improve processes, take on additional responsibilities, and find new opportunities for the company. They are self-motivated and driven to succeed.

An underpaid employee, on the other hand, is someone who is paid less than they should be for the work they do. They may be motivated to do their job, but they may not be as engaged or motivated as a proactive employee. They may not take initiative or look for ways to improve processes or find new opportunities for the company.

Why I need to keep my proactive employees motivated?

The proactive employee is essential for the success of a company, as they take initiative, look for ways to improve processes, and find new opportunities for growth. On the other hand, an underpaid employee, while they may do their job, may not be as engaged or motivated to go above and beyond, and may not contribute to the company’s success in the same way. Therefore, it is important for companies to not only pay their employees fairly, but also to foster a culture of proactivity and encourage employees to take initiative and drive growth.

Conclusion:

It is possible that an underpaid employee will do everything in a given company but it may not be the case that all underpaid employees are proactive or all proactive employees are well paid. These are two different characteristics and doesn’t have a direct relationship.
